HAHNVILLE — Authorities announced Monday they are looking for a Hammond boater, missing since Wednesday.

A release from the St. Charles Parish Sheriff’s Office said deputies responded at approximately 11:55 a.m. Wednesday to a call from Magnolia Fleet officials stating one of their small work boats had capsized with three individuals on board.

Two of the victims were rescued, but the third victim identified by the Sheriff’s Office as 36 year-old James Swafford of Hammond is still missing.

Personnel from the St. Charles Parish Sheriff’s Office, Coast Guard and Port of South Louisiana searched for Swafford, but as of Monday authorities said Swafford is still missing.
