Comet cooks show off

LAPLACE — An SCC sibling team, with some help from a mom, dad and a friend, captured the title at Oct. 9’s St. Charles Catholic High School alumni cook-off.
The winning team — Three Comettes and a Comet — won the competition by cooking crawfish stuffed pistolettes.
Team members included students Emily Triche, Kallie Remondet, Jamie Remondet, Taylor Remondet and alumni Juliette Remondet, Ryan Remondet, James Remondet and Lori Remondet.
Dishes had to be cooked by alumni, but could have a team helping out. Each dish has to feed 200 people.
Eight dishes were entered: jambalaya, pastalaya, charbroiled oysters, shrimp and Andouille pasta, crawfish stuffed pistolettes, chicken big mamou, crab meat egg rolls and dirty mac and cheese.
