MT. AIRY — Pin Oak Holdings announced Mike Reed has been appointed chief executive officer of the company, effective immediately.
Pin Oak is constructing a liquids storage terminal along a 431-acre tract near the Mississippi River in Mt. Airy. Pin Oak provides its customers with optionality through rail, ship, pipeline and truck access.
Reed joins Pin Oak after a 25-year career in the midstream business, and he recently held the post of President, LBC Americas. Reed has an extensive background developing and managing terminal businesses and is responsible for leading Pin Oak through its construction, operations and growth.
“Pin Oak is located at an ideal location and will be a premier destination on the Mississippi River,” Reed said. “We expect to provide ample solutions to our customers by providing an array of logistics solutions and superior customer service while maintaining the strictest safety standards in the business.”
St. John the Baptist Parish President Natalie Robottom said Pin Oak Holdings is a community partner — one that keeps the safety and best interests of neighboring residents in mind.
“We applaud Pin Oak on the hiring of a chief executive officer to better serve our Parish and remain committed to assisting with any upcoming investments in the parish,” Robottom said.
