Reserve man shot, detectives working case

RESERVE — A Reserve man was shot Thursday, but little else is known as authorities investigate the shooting.

St. John the Baptist Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies began their investigation after responding to East 30th Street in Reserve at 12:11 p.m. Thursday following a shooting report.

Also Thursday, Ochsner Medical Complex — River Parishes personnel reported a 26-year-old Reserve man walked in the emergency room with a gunshot wound to his left leg.

He told responders he was shot on East 30th Street. The victim’s current condition is unknown, authorities said, adding detectives are in the early stages of the investigation.
