RESERVE — Illegal blue headlights led to the discovery of an assault rifle, pot and an arrest in Reserve, authorities said.
St. John the Baptist Parish Sheriff Mike Tregre said deputies on patrol Tuesday on Homewood Place in Reserve made a traffic stop for a car having blue headlights.
When deputies approached the car, they saw an assault rifle in the vehicle in plain view, Tregre said.
“Deputies identified the driver of the car as
, 24, of East 27th Street in Reserve,” Tregre said in a release. “Deputies recovered marijuana and drug paraphernalia from the center console of the car. A computer check on Lagrande revealed that his driver’s license was suspended.”
Lagrande was booked with color of clearance lamps, operating a vehicle with a suspended license, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and illegal carrying of a weapon with a CDS.
Lagrande bonded out of jail on a $13,750 bond.
