Queen of Hope Pageant planned Saturday

RESERVE — The 12th annual St. John Parish Queen of Hope Pageant will be held Saturday at St. John Theatre in Reserve.
The Pageant begins at noon and is open to girls newborn and up and boys newborn to 3 years old. The attire is parent’s choice.
The pageant for Queen, Teen and Ms. will begin at 4:30 p.m. Teen Queen of Hope XII contestants should be between the ages of 13-16, Queen of Hope XII contestants should be between the ages of 17-23 and not married, and Ms. Queen of Hope contestants should be 24 years and up or currently married and/or with children.
The event will accept entries at the door on the day of the pageant.
The attire for the interview is suit or Sunday best and the pageant is formal wear.
Queen of Hope and Teen Queen of Hope divisions will have interviews at St. John Theatre beginning at 9 a.m. on the day of the pageant. Contestants are asked to arrive no later than 8:45 a.m. to register.
The Queen and Teen Queen will continue on to participate in the Louisiana Relay Queen of Queens pageant this summer.
Proceeds from the pageant benefit the American Cancer Society.
Entry fees are as follows: Baby-Junior, $50; Teen, Miss, & Ms Entry Fee, $75; and the Covergirl Competition (optional) is an additional $5 fee.
Hopeful entrants may preregister through today, but may also pay the day of the pageant with a $5 late fee at the door.

The Pageant will accept the sale of Relay for Life luminaries as an alternate form of entry fee, which must be turned in at the pageant.
