Alvin ‘Big Al’ Paul Louque passed away on Thursday, Feb. 26, 2015, at the age of 61.

He was a native of Burnside and a resident of LaPlace.

He was the beloved husband of Diane Marie Thompkins Louque for 36 years; father of Angelle Marie Louque LeBouef (Lance LeBouef), Alvin Paul Louque, Jr. (Gwen Shelton Louque), Andrea Ann Louque Catanese (Joey Catanese), Ambrose John Louque, Annie Mae Louque; son of the late Annie Mae Naquin Louque, Francis Joseph Louque, brother of Sandra Ann Louque Anslum (Bobby), Susan Mary Louque Falcon (Neil), Connie Ann Louque Abbate (Peter), Carol Rita Louque Rizzuto, Donald Francis Louque (Brenda Wrey Louque), and grandfather of Angel, Lacey, Sophie, Olivia, Caleb and Alexandra LeBouef, Scarlett Catanese, Alayia and Aubrey Louque, and baby Alvin Louque.

Louque is the grandson of the late Andrea Morvant Naquin and Nelson Earl Morvant, son-in-law of Earline Hernandez Vizcaino Hotard and John Vizcaino III (Sharon Monk) and is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Alvin graduated from St. Charles High School and Bethel Bible College. He was employed by Industrial Maintenance as a first class painter and was the owner of Rainbow Vacuum Cleaners.

Louque loved people and had many friends. He was a loving man and adored his wife, Diane. He was very close to his children and grandchildren.

Louque was an active member at Life House Church for over 34 years. He was an active member of Celebrate Recovery for five years.

He had many fiends, to name a few: Dr. Roderick Dewitt Aguillard, Pastor Stephen Aguillard, Danny Bailey and Terry Bjerk. He was an evangelist leader of ‘Soul Patrol’ with many outreaches to this community and beyond and was a leader in ‘Spanish Bible Study’ with Brant Durapau.

He enjoyed fishing, music, camping, crawfish boils and just spending quality time with family and friends. Many were touched by Alvin’s life, his legacy will go on through the hearts of many lives he has touched. We will miss him but know he is on the other side waiting for us.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Life House Church, 3556 W. Airline Hwy. in Reserve on Saturday, March 7 at 11 a.m.

Visitation at the church is from 9 until 11:00 a.m. Interment is in St. John Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
