GRAMERCY — A pastor’s appreciation banquet was held Jan. 23 at New Zion Christian Fellowship Hall in Gramercy.
Over 50 invitations were given to pastors and clergy throughout the River Parishes. Organizers said the purpose of the event was to show the pastors and clergy they are loved and appreciated for the work they are doing and will do for the kingdom of God.
The pastors and clergy were welcomed with valet parking, a walk down the red carpet, badge and coat receptionist and photo shoot with their guest. Pastors and clergy were then ushered to a beautifully-decorated red and white fellowship hall.
Patrons were entertained by gospel singers and a DVD slide show.
A message was delivered by Darcell Anderson, and the event was led by Bro. Gary Gordon, Minister Veronica Gordon and a host of volunteers from various churches.
