DESTREHAN — The St. Charles Parish Library is participating in the first ever Harry Potter Book Night Feb. 5 at the East Regional Library, 160 W. Campus Drive in Destrehan.
The event runs from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Attendees are welcome to drop in at any time.
Wizards, witches and muggles of all ages will be treated to an evening of magical events and activities.
Attendees will have the opportunity to make their own wands, create their own magical creatures, mix potions and more.
Costumes, props and cameras are encouraged.
Harry Potter Book Night will be celebrated throughout the world Feb. 5 for fans to share the wonder of J.K. Rowling’s stories of Harry Potter.
“We are so excited to be joining up with schools, libraries, bookshops and community centers throughout the world to celebrate the first ever Harry Potter Book Night,” Public Relations Librarian Lauren Pitz said. “Harry Potter fans of all ages — from children to adults — will get to experience the magical world of Harry Potter right here at the St. Charles Parish Library.”
