Robinson, who has been with the department 17 years, has been promoted to a major at the Nelson Coleman Correctional Center. Robinson has worked his way through the ranks while remaining committed to corrections since being hired in 1997 by Sheriff Greg Champagne. Robinson resides in St. Rose and has two children, Anaya and Alvin IV. Robinson is replacing Major Roland Ladreyt, who is retiring as Warden at the end of this year after more than 35 years in law enforcement. As Warden, Robinson will oversee the daily operations of the Nelson Coleman Correctional Center.
