HAHNVILLE 28, HAUGHTON 14 — Hahnville rushed for 278 yards to push past host Haughton. Mike Neal rushed for 83 yards on 17 carries. Devonte Cravin had 72 yards and a score on 13 carries and Drew Dunn gained 76 yards on 12 carries. Hahnville finished with 336 yards of total offense and is now on to a marquee Class 5A hometown showdown with Destrehan in the state quarterfinals.
ST. JAMES 46, LOREAUVILLE 8 — The St. James program continued its rise, dominating on the road en route to a second consecutive trip to the Class 2A quarterfinals. Lowell Narcisse accounted for six total touchdowns, rushing for 86 yards and three scores, passing for 387 yards and three more touchdowns. Curtlan Johnson, Rashaun Weber and Tyler Melancon each hauled in scores for SJH, which played without leading receiver Dontaze Costly.
PLAQUEMINE 43, LUTCHER 28 — Plaquemine went down to the Dog Pound and survived, besting its district foe Bulldogs in a shootout. Austin Mitchell rushed for 165 yards and four touchdowns to lead the Green Devils. Jontre Kirklin rushed for two touchdowns and connected with Al’Dontre Davis for another to lead Lutcher.
