Chase Curry, born Dec. 2, 1995, departed this world on April 15, 2014, at the young age of 18. He died at Oschner hospital in Metairie from complications of cystic fibrosis and a double lung transplant.

He is survived by his parents, Heather Curry and Shawn Hidalgo, and a sister, Cheyenne Hidalgo, and his brothers, Philip Reed and JC Moody. He is also survived by his grandparents, Darlene and Charles Curry of Richton, Miss., and Kearney Hidalgo and the late Eloise Hidalgo of Gramercy, as well as a host of aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

He was a native and resident of Mt. Airy.

Chase was cremated, and a private service was held on April 20, 2014.
