The 14th annual FCA “Run for the Son” was held last Saturday at St Charles Catholic.

A stormy night gave way to clearing skies and a cool north breeze as 175 participants took to the streets of LaPlace for a one-mile fun run and 5K race.

One-mile race winners were Mikalays Robertson (6:59) and Pierre McGraw (5:20) both SCC students.  

The winners of the 5K race were Melissa Shepherd (22:49) and Ken Massett (21:11). 

SCC student winners in the one-mile race were Nick Roberts, Wesley Melancon, Mallory Brignac, Justin Dubose, Heidi Roussel, Jeffrey Millet, Heather Roussel, Colin Bosco and Allison Arcuri. 

Student winners in 5K were Brandon Lemoine and Anthony Munoz.

The 5K race winners by age were Daniel Bosco, Roy Shepherd, Taylor Bourgeois, Chris Bergeron, Elisa Chapman, Bret Maurin and  Jenny Lind.

SCC Alumni winners were Lisa Forsythe (one mile) and Jeff Gassen and Mikey Richoux (5K). 

Proceeds from the race will benefit St. Charles Catholic Fellowship of Christian Athletes and help support their participation in summer camps.
