LAPLACE – Supporters of Get High on Life Inc. will celebrate the 34th anniversary of the ministry on Monday with a fundraising dinner.

GHOL Founder Harold Keller, along with his wife Jeanne, began the ministry in 1980 in response to concerns about the growing drug problem in the River Parishes. Keller said the ministry is aimed at reaching out to the lonely and hurting in the community.

“It’s one of the most satisfying and rewarding things I’ve ever done,” said Keller about the GHOL.

He said he has been honored to lead the organization and has “been blessed to be a laborer in God’s ministry of Get High on Life.”

The Dinner Social will be held on Monday, April 7 at 7 p.m. at the Lutcher Public Relations Building located next to the Lutcher High School. Donations are $100 per couple. Tickets can be purchased in advance or at the door.
