HAHNVILLE – The St. Charles Parish Sheriff’s Office arrested a St. Rose juvenile this week after he allegedly threatened mass violence at a high school in North Carolina.
In a joint investigation with Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office, officials discovered that the juvenile had made threats in a chat room to shoot students at the high school in Fayetteville, N.C., naming particular students in the threat.
After being questioned by officers, the juvenile allegedly admitted to making the threats to see the reaction of the students in the chat room. The juvenile obtained the students names from a social media account to make them think the threat was real. On Oct. 8, the juvenile was arrested on a warrant for terrorizing. The juvenile was arrested and booked accordingly and is being held on a $100,000 bond at the Assumption Juvenile Detention Center.
