NASA climate day today

The St. Charles Parish Library and Planetarium are set to host an exciting event, Under the Sun, a NASA Climate Day. On June 22, 9 a.m.–2 p.m., kids ages 8 and up along with their families will enjoy a day of Sun and fun.
Under the Sun activities include solar observing, crafts, sun related activities, NASA inspired games and more. Members of the Pontchartrain Astronomy Society will set up their telescopes to safely view the Sun, weather permitting.
The Planetarium will give visitors a sneak peek at the newest planetarium show, “Dynamic Earth.” Narrated by Liam Neeson, “Dynamic Earth” takes you on a trip into space and under the ocean to learn about the planet’s climate engine.

The Luling Winn-Dixie Marketplace will to open its parking lot next door to the library for additional event parking.
