St. John United Way board welcomes new members

LAPLACE – St. John United Way has added three members to its Board of Directors, Paige Falgoust, Brandy Pilgram and Tomy Acosta.
The three newest members to the SJUW Board of Directors are all active members of the St. John Parish community. Each of the new members bring much needed skills and knowledge to assist the organization with its mission of creating lasting changes in St. John the Baptist Parish by supporting programs focused on education, income and health.
Falgoust is a life-long resident of LaPlace working for the public as the communications director for St. John the Baptist Parish Government.
Pilgram works as the accounting/logistics coordinator for Cargill Liquids Terminal in Reserve. She is an active volunteer through Cargill’s Community Involvement Committee, Relay For Life, Toys For Tots and other service organizations.
Acosta resides in LaPlace and is a local attorney at law and notary public for Acosta Law Firm LLC in LaPlace.
Trista Brazan, SJUW executive director, said the organization is excited to add these new members to its existing local volunteer board, bringing the total to 17 members.
The SJUW Board of Directors also recently elected officers and executive committee members at its annual meeting held Jan. 30.
The 2013 SJUW Board of Directors officers are: Rhonda Hotard, president; Greg Maurin, vice president; Jaime De La Cruz, secretary/ treasurer. The 2013 Executive Committee includes Barry Griffin, Julia Remondet, Carl Pasquarelli and Jeremy St. Pierre.
