NEW ORLEANS – Edgard native and artist Jamar Pierre has put his methodical texturing and juxtaposition of vital colors into grandeur for this year Super Bowl.
Vincent’s Gallery located next to Jackson Square will have the original piece for sale, and Pierre will personally be signing. One can come out and experience a great time right next to CBS four-stage broadcast center selected for the “Super Bowl Park.” Live the full experience of New Orleans biggest event of the year as well as to indulge all viewers with his celebration of the Super Bowl with the poster title “A Bowl of Flavor.”
The work evokes New Orleans’ vital elements from Mardi Gras Indians, beads, masquerades, the Super Dome lit up in its entire splendor and even a full second-line parade. To weave in the Super Bowl festivities, the piece includes a typical New Orleans style bowl of red beans, but upon inspection one realizes that the beans are indeed mini-footballs. The two opposing quarterbacks are at the center of the memorable piece, creating a ferocious presence for both teams.
Vincent’s Art Gallery decided to exhibit “A Bowl of Flavor” as the ultimate souvenir for this special occasion, made for the first time ever.
Pierre, with 20 years of professional experience, is considered a citizen of the world that has made his mark in Paris, New York and Los Angeles.
