St. Peter Chanel School has chosen its 2012 Students of the Year. Fifth-grader Erin Richard and eighth-grader Lane Lundy were awarded this honor.  They were chosen from a group of students based on grade point average, an interview and an essay.
Richard and Lundy will now compete at the Diocesan level. Each will create a portfolio filled with academic achievements, extra curricular activities and contributions to the community.
Richard is the daughter of Bryant and Dina Richard of Paulina. Lundy is the son of Brett and Amy Lundy of Garyville. Lundy was also Stu-dent of the Year in 2009 as a fifth grader.
