Lutcher offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach Dwain Jenkins has been approved as the new Athletic Director and head football coach at St. James High School.

Jenkins was one of three finalists for the job, which had 44 applicants in all.

It is Jenkins’ first job as a head coach. He has served as the Bulldogs’ offensive coordinator since 2006 and was on LHS coach Tim Detillier’s staff since 2001.

In his tenure as OC, the Bulldogs won two state championships, in 2006 and 2008.
