Turner Joseph “Tony” Scallon passed away Friday, Jan. 27, 2012, at the age of 71. He was born in Beaumont, Texas, and lived in LaPlace for the past 40 years.

Tony was the loving husband of 51 years of Priscilla Scallon, father of Stephen Scallon, Gregory Scallon and Teresa Scallon Holen as well as a great father-in-law to Larie, Staci and Kevin. He was T-Paw to Haydn and Kayleb Scallon, Catherine and Elizabeth Scallon and Sarah and Matthew Holen.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Turner and Tomye Scallon of Baytown, Texas.

Tony was in sales in the beverage industry for 46 years. His passion was fishing, and he loved to be on a boat. He was fun loving, full of life and inspired every person he met in some way. A memorial was held at Millet-Guidry Funeral Home, Feb. 1, 2012. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the American Cancer Society or the Alzheimer’s Asso ciation of America.
