Ernestine V. Lambert, 69, passed away at her residence on Thursday, Feb. 2, 2012.

She was the beloved wife for 51 years of the late Leo Joseph Lambert Jr.

She was a homemaker, cook for the St. James Parish School Board and cosmetic saleswoman. She enjoyed her Tuesday card club games, Thursday night bingo and was a member of the 3L’s Club. She loved bowling and was a member of a bowling league. She was also fond of family vacations in Grand Isle.

She is survived by her five sons, Michael (Tessa), Mark (Edie), Milton “Bud” (Sharon), Melvin (Patrice) and Myron (Paula) Lambert, daughter, Linda Thibodeaux (Craig “Tiger”), 16 grandchildren, Hillary, Tyler, Hannah, Tanner, Ashley, Raelynn, Mason, Kelsi, Maggie, Reed, Rory, Mallory and Matthew Lambert, Jessica L. Harvey (David) of Covington and Jaci and Trey Harrison, two step-grandchildren, Andree and Whitney Thibodeaux and great-grandson, Ryder Lambert. She is also survived by five step-grandchildren, Bailey, Keegan, Chandler, Bentley and Karson Thibodeaux, two sisters-in-law, Grace Talimine (Jesse) and Gloria Carpenter (Fred) and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Visitation will be held Saturday, Feb. 4, 2012, from 8 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. at H.C. Alexander Funeral Home in Lutcher. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at noon at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Paulina. Burial will follow in the St. Joseph Cemetery.
