Skiler Cornish has been selected as LaPlace Elementary School’s fifth-grade Student of the Year. Cornish’s current grade point average is an impressive 4.0. Lori Chen has been selected to represent LaPlace Elementary as the eighth-grade Student of the Year. Chen has also maintained a grade point average of 4.0. Both students are involved in numerous activities on and off campus. Cornish and Chen will compete with other students from around the parish for St. John Parish Student of the Year. They will be interviewed and their portfolios will be judged.
