In the midst of sweltering temperatures, Melvin Jackson collects a free fan from Sherry Colbert during the Beat the Heat Fan Drive held at the LaPlace Home Depot on July 16. The drive was put on by Entergy of Louisiana, Home Depot and the Women of Integrity non-profit organization to help low-income seniors, adults with disabilities and families with children stay cool.
