The St. John Fire Depart–

ment is hosting a flag football game against the St. John Sheriff’s Department on Nov. 20 at 9 a.m. The

location will be at Riverside or the park on Highway

51. We are still working out the specifics on the place.

We are going to charge $1

for admission or get in free

if you bring a canned good or toy for our kick off of

the fire department’s Toys For Tots campaign for this holiday season.

There is a lot of pride on the line for this football game. Of course each

department thinks it is going to beat the other. There is already bragging going on. The game is hoped to be an annual event to raise money

and toys for the parish,

so please come out and support the cause. Tell all of your family and friends to come out and support your local sheriff and fire departments.

We are going to try and have coffee and donuts along with some police- and fire-related things for the children.
