LULING— The United Way of St. Charles provided a training opportunity for local non-profit organizations recently as part of its 2010-2011 training program
As part of United Way of St. Charles’ plan to continually improve its processes, they have implemented an ongoing training program that is being offered to local non-profit agencies.
This year’s training program kicked off with a “Program Evaluation: Outcome Measurement” training. Cory Sparks, director of the Louisiana Association of Nonprofit Organizations New Orleans, developed the training and presented it to the 13 agencies in attendance.
Several agency representatives stayed after the training to discuss challenges faced by their agencies. Based on the training evaluation forms, future trainings are being developed and will include grant writing and board development.
