St. Michael’s fall festival this weekend

St. Michael Church is hosting is annual Fall Festival on Saturday, Oct. 2 and Sunday, Oct. 3. All proceeds from the Fall Festival will go toward the restoration of this historic church.

The festival begins with an Open Team Bass Tournament. Official tournament check-in sites will be Walmart parking lot on Highway 90 in Luling and The Gator Corner at the intersection of highways 69 and 70 on the way to Pierre Part. Weigh in will be on the church grounds at 3 p.m. Other activities scheduled for Saturday include a spaghetti and meatball dinner following 5 p.m. Mass, bingo beginning at 7:30 p.m. Entertainment will be provided by “Sac-A-Lait” from 6 -8 p.m. and “Addicted to Goldfish” from 8 p.m. – midnight.

On Sunday, the seventh annual 5k & Fun Run begins at 8 a.m. The Chef’s Choice Cook Off, Classic Car Show and Auction are also scheduled for Sunday. “Driven, Overdrive and Wildlife” will provide live entertainment throughout the day. Kid’s activities and rides, arts and crafts and lots of fun are planned for everyone to enjoy.

10 a.m. – Car Show

10 a.m. – Driven performs

11 a.m. – Chef’s Choice Food Cook Off / Butterbean with Shrimp Plate / Fried Catfish

Noon – Overdrive performs

1 p.m. – Auction

2 p.m. – Wildlife with Ronnie Champton performs
