BOUTTE – Hahnville running back Ahmad White rushed for 202 yards and four touchdowns on 37 carries as Hahnville nailed down an impressive victory over O. Perry Walker Friday night, 28-14.

White scored all Tiger touchdowns and kept the pressure off of Tiger quarterback Brian Ensminger, who returned to action after being forced from last week’s Lutcher game with an ankle injury.

“Ahmad had just a fantastic game tonight,” said Hahnville coach Lou Valdin. “And Mike Ford, our fullback, was incredible blocking for him.”

Ensminger passed for 101 yards, only throwing the ball 15 times on the night.

“He played well,” said Valdin. “He converted on a couple of real key completions that put us in position to get ahead.”

The Tigers’ defense harassed Walker quarterback Devin Powell into a 7-for-23, two interception passing night, limiting Walker to only 75 yards through the air. Walker gained 235 total yards in the game.

“We bent a little at times, but we didn’t give up the big play,” said Valdin. “We came away with some key turnovers.

Brady Bourg intercepted two passes for Hahnville.

White scored touchdowns from 1, 20 and 10 yards away give the Tigers a 21-0 lead at halftime.

Walker cut into the lead in the third quarter on Robert Kelley’s 1-yard touchdown run and Powell’s two-point conversion pass. But White converted Hahnville’s fourth and final touchdown on a 2-yard run in the fourth quarter to essentially put things away.

Dontrell Strickland led Hahnville in receiving, catching three passes for 47 yards. Rashad Green hauled in a 44-yard pass.

Kelley led Walker in rushing, gaining 94 yards on 24 carries.
