STAFF REPORT
LAPLACE — Motorists in the River Parishes who regularly travel Interstate 10 through St. John and St. Charles Parishes should be on the look out for lane closures next week.
Work crews from the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development will be removing vegetation between the eastbound and westbound lanes from mile marker 209 (US 51 exit) to mile marker 214 (St. Charles Parish line).
DOTD will close the eastbound inside lane on Tuesday, May 19 and the westbound inside lane on Wednesday, May 20. Both closures will occur between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m.
To avoid delays, DOTD recommends motorists take Airline Highway through St. John and St. Charles Parishes and rejoin the interstate at I-310.
For more information on the work contact Jason Thompson with DOTD at 985-652-9880.
