LAPLACE—The River Region Multicultural Chamber of Commerce will hold its First Annual Business Summit this Friday, March 13, at Belle Terre Country Club from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
The theme of the summit is “Getting Down to the Business of Business.”
O.J. Breech and the rest of the crew at the RRMCC have rounded up a stunning cast of local celebrities, including Lieutenant Gov. Mitch Landrieu, State Rep. Nickie Monica, and Attorney Daniel Becnel, to deliver keynote addresses to the crowd of local minority business owners.
Additionally, the day will feature networking, interactive workshops and panel discussions.
Some of the topics to be covered throughout the summit include insurance, startup, contracting and marketing.
Other topics, which are related to business somewhat more indirectly but important to running a successful business nonetheless, are successions, education and cultural enrichment, giving to the community and local government and businesses working together.
The registration fee for the summit is $15 for members and $25 for non-members. The pre-registration period has already ended, but it’s not too late to join the event. Call 877-487-7222 ext. 3 for more information.
