Eunice Roussel Deroche, age 82, passed away on Monday, March 9, 2009, at 6:55 a.m.  She was a native of Paulina and a resident of Gramercy. She is survived by her son and his wife Garen Paul Deroche and Jude, a daughter, Sandra D. Ellis, sisters Daniel “Rowena” Laroze, Posey “Joyce” Bourgeois and Ferrel “Janice” Millet. She is also survived by four grandchildren, Joan S. Mancuso, John D. Schexnayder, Ashley D. Duhon and Ryan P. Deroche as well as five great-grandchildren. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald M. Deroche, parents Vincent and Hermine Roussel Roussel, brothers Percy V. Roussel, Gerald “Coo” Roussel and Randolph Roussel, sisters Beverly Badeaux, Florisca Roussel and son-in-law Charles M. Ellis.

Visitation will be at Rose Lynn Funeral Home, 1870 Cabanose Ave., Lutcher, on Wednesday, March 11, from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. and on Thursday, March 12, from 9 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Gramercy followed by a Mass of Christian Burial.  Interment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery in Paulina.
