Lambert
Warren J. “Bozo” Lambert Sr. passed away peacefully on November 13, 2008, at 2:30 a.m. of cancer. He was 71 years old, born in New Orleans and a resident of Grand Point. He was the beloved husband of Alice M. Lambert for 49 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, Gaston and Pearl Schexnayder Lambert and his brother-in-law Floyd Alleman Sr. He is survived by his five children: Warren Lambert Jr. and his wife Jeannette Schexnayder Lambert; son Patrick Lambert and his wife, Sheila Tomlinson Lambert; son William “Billy” Lambert; son Lawrence Lambert and his wife Staci Champagne Lambert and daughter Michelle Lambert Daron and her husband Jeffrey Daron. He had eleven grandchildren: Adam, Ashley, Ronnie, Reece, Gabbrielle, Abbigail, Jacob, Alex, Emily, Raigan and Gregory. He was also survived by his sister Betty Lambert Alleman and his beloved dog “Rosie”.
He served in the U.S. Army National Guard. He worked at Shell Co. in Geismar for nine years. Then he became an entrepreneur of Lutcher “66” station on Hwy 44. He enjoyed gardening, restoring antique cars and collecting oil lanterns, stamps and coins. In his early years, he used to drag race MG Midgets. He also enjoyed watching football and NASCAR races. He was a member of the Grand Point Hunting Club, Quarterback Club, Knights of Columbus and Vintage Chevrolet Club of America.
Relatives, friends and parishioners of St. Joseph Catholic Church and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the Mass of Catholic Military Burial at St. Joseph Church, 2130 Rectory St., Paulina, La., on Saturday, November 15, 2008, with visitation at the above named Church from 9:00 a.m. until Mass time. Entombment will follow in St. Joseph Mausoleum.
The family would like to thank Dr. Joseph Turner and his staff; and especially the doctors, nurses, aides, and staff of the River Region Hospice in River Ridge, LA for all their help. Abadie
Donald Andre Abadie, born December 10, 1922, a long time resident of Vacherie, passed away from this life to his heavenly home, Monday, November 10, 2008, at the age of 85. He was a World War II Veteran having proudly served in the U.S. Navy for six years. He retired from Kaiser Aluminum in 1985 after 28 years of service. He is survived by his beloved wife of 61 years, Genevieve Becnel Abadie; five children: Daniel Abadie, Susan Turcotte and husband, Hines, Donald Abadie, Robert Abadie and wife, Sarah and Marie Abadie; seven grandchildren: Byron Abadie, Jenny Hebert, Cindy Thibodaux, Andre Abadie, Adam Abadie, Tessa Faucheux and Erica McAllister; along with ten beautiful great-grandchildren; brother, Andre Abadie Jr.; and two sisters: Marie Peyton and Bernadette Roussel.
Preceded in death were his parents: Andre Abadie Sr. and Eloise Waguespack Abadie; four brothers: Daniel, Russel, Frank and Dudley Abadie; and two sisters: Eloise Abadie and Thelma Zeringue.
Visitation and services were held on Thursday, November 13, at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church in Vacherie. Entombment followed in Church Mausoleum.
Borne
Caroline Borne, 82, died November 5, 2008. She was wife of Joseph Borne, mother of Theresa Gale-Sanders and Mary Ann Davis, grandmother of Rayfield Davis, Reonda Davis, Michael Sanders Jr. and Maya Sanders, great-grandmother of Rene’Shea Davis and sister of Angie Cannon.
She was preceded in death by son Adrian Davis, parents William Gale and Pearl Gale, brother Matthew Gale Sr. and sister Victoria Stone. She was a native and lifelong resident of Edgard.
Relatives, friends, employees of T Lanaux & Sons, CSBC Law Firm and CRC Warehousing and Transportation and all surrounding churches are invited to attend a funeral service at New Jerusalem B.C., 152 E. 6th St., Edgard, La., on Saturday, November 15, at 11 a.m. Rev. Joseph Johnson officiating. Church visitation from 9 a.m. until service. Burial at church cemetery.

Rev. Edmond “Duke #1” Joseph Duhe Jr. of Reserve, 59, died Sunday, November 9, 2008. He was husband of Annette Robinson Duhe, son of Eva Songy Duhe and the late Edmondf J. Duhe Sr. Father of David, James Robinson, Damien Bates and Jacquet Ware, stepfather of Angela Joseph-Thomas, brother of Theresa Duhe Johnson, Donna Duhe Burl and Amy Duhe Rixner. Also survived by a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Relatives and friends of the family also pastor, officers and members of the New Rescue Mission Missionary B.C., Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church and neighboring churches, employees of Chester Victor Trucking Co., Sister Duhe’s Daycare, Delta Coating and Damien’s Flooring are invited to attend funeral services on Saturday, November 15, 2008 at noon at the New Rescue Mission Missionary B.C. at 168 E. Robinson (E. 14th St.) in Reserve. A musical tribute will be held from 11 a.m. until time of service. Rev. Joseph Smith officiating. Interment at Zion Travelers Cemetery in Reserve. Visitation at the church after 9 a.m.

Macloud
Judith J. Guedry-Macloud, age 71, born September 15, 1937, went to live with her heavenly father on November 9, 2008, surrounded by family and friends. Beloved wife of William Macloud, the late George Guedry Sr. Daughter of the late Guy and Minta Jacob. Sister of Barbara Jacob Tucker, Linda J. Feucht and the late Melvin Jacob. Mother of George Guedry Jr. and wife, Sandra; Danny Guedry and wife, Karen; the late Ronald Guedry, Peggy Lambert and her husband, Clay; Kenny Guedry and his wife, Carol and step-son Patrick Macloud and his wife, Bonnie. Grandmother of Clint, Chase, Raymond, Brittany, Jeremy Guedry, Connor and Keely Macloud. Great-grandmother of Pheeby, Lexie and Logan Guedry.
Visitation and services were held on Friday, November 14, at the St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Destrehan. Interment followed at Jefferson Memorial Cemetery in St. Rose.
Louque
John Wayne “T-Coke” Louque passed away on November 13, 2008, at 2:50 a.m. at his residence in Gramercy. He was 63 years old and a native of Grand Point. He was the former owner of his businesses that he operated for many years: Teco Services and H-CC, LLC.
He is survived by his wife, Rhonda Louque. He is also survived by his son and his wife, Jeff and Mikleen Louque of Garyville; his daughters and their husbands: Amy and Eric Plaisance of Garyville, Heidi and Jon Bourgeois of Hester, Catherine (step-daughter) and Nicholas Bates of Reserve and daughter Casey Louque. He is also survived by his brother: Alcee J. “A.J.” Louque Jr.; sisters: Annabelle Bourgeois and Gladys Louque; his five grandchildren: Taylor Scioneaux, Heather Gros, Paige Plaisance, and Lauren and Tanner Louque. He is preceded in death by his parents: Alcee J. Louque Sr. and Louise Martin Louque; his brothers: Newton, Morris “Buck” and Melvin Louque; his sisters: Enola Brignac and Eunice Poche.
Visitation will be on Saturday, November 15, at Rose Lynn Funeral Services from 8:00 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:00 a.m. at Most Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church in Gramercy with interment immediately following at St. Joseph Cemetery. Huffman
Frank M. Huffman, 84, died Thursday, November 6, 2008. The LaPlace resident was husband of Charlotte Huffman and father of Lori, Tim and Jeff Huffman. Also survived by seven grandchildren.
Visitation and services were held on Tuesday, November 11, at Millet-Guidry Funeral Home in LaPlace. Burial to be private at a later date.
Lipps
Bernadine Aubert “Bern” Lipps of Reserve, 62, died Saturday, November 8, 2008. She was wife of Michael Lipps Sr, daughter of Harold Aubert and the late Shirley Johnson Aubert, mother of Michele Lewis, Michael Jr., Ray, Angela, Patrick, Shirley Lipps, Anika Harris and the late Denise Lipps and sister of Sherry Burnette, Diane Aubert, Catherine Aubert, Carol Taylor, Veronica Aubert, Sharon Goff, Harold Aubert Jr., Randy Paul Aubert and the late Gary Aubert. She is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Relatives and friends of the family, priest and parishioners of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church and neighboring churches, employees of St. James Behavioral Health Hospital, Summerville Assisted Living, HBS-Shell Norco and Herzing College are invited to attend a mass of Christian burial on Saturday, November 15, at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church in Reserve. Father Joseph Rodney officiating. Interment at St. Peter Catholic Church Cemetery in Reserve. Visitation at the church after 8 a.m.
Lumar
Darren “Chip” Anthony Lumar departed this life on Thursday, November 6, 2008, at Northside Hospital in Atlanta, Ga. He was 38. Darren was the father of Sydney Kiara Lumar and Carrington Alexander Lumar. He is survived by his mother, Vernadean Underwood, his father, Harold Lumar, his step-father, Charles Underwood, one brother, Dana Lumar and three nephews, Blaylon, Kendall and Daniel Lumar, one niece, McKinsey Lumar, and his grandmother, Sylvia August. He is also survived by his loving companion Dr. Yamma Brown Lumar, his god-mother, Catherine Packer and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Darwin Christopher Lumar, his maternal grandfather, Emile August Sr., his paternal grandparents, Alma and Horris Lumar, one father-in-law, James Brown and 3 uncles, Herman, Helmond and Welmond Lumar. He was a native of Edgard and a resident of Bulkhead, Ga. He attended West St. John Elementary and West St. John High School in Edgard but graduated from Smryna Christian Academy in Atlanta.
Services were held at New Jerusalem Baptist Church in Edgard on Thursday, November 13. A second funeral will be held in Atlanta on Saturday, November 15. Interment will be in Pine Ridge Memorial Park Cemetery in Kennesaw, Ga.
Soulier
Leah St. Martin Soulier, 85, died last week in the Dallas/Ft.Worth area. She was born in New Orleans to Peter B. and Lizette St.Martin and spent most of her childhood in Laplace.
Preceded in death by her husband Milton Soulier,and siblings Peter B,Jr, Roland,and Lynette St.Martin. She is survived by her sisters Marie Therese Richhart and Delphine Flynn and brothers Gerard and Charles St.Martin. She is also survived by her 10 children, 12 grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren.
Services are Saturday, November 15 at Our Lady Queen of Heaven Church in Lake Charles, La.
