The River Region Chamber of Commerce holding Golf Tournament to benefit continuing education on Oct. 13

The River Region Chamber of Commerce will be holding a golf tournament to benefit continuing education on Oct. 13 at Riverlands Golf and Country Club.  A portion of the proceeds will be given to a deserving student at the LTC Reserve Campus & River Parishes Community College. St. Peter Catholic Community taking registration for soccer

St. Peter Catholic Community is taking registration for its 2008 Soccer Season.  Children from 4 to 14 years are eligible to play.  Forms can be picked up on the table in the back of St. Peter Church or at St. Peter School. “Do it for Don” fundraising golf tourney

There will be a four-man scramble golf tournament fundraiser at Belle Terre Country Club on Friday, Oct. 24 for Don Vicknair, who has a rare lung disease and is in need of a double lung transplant. The “Do it for Don” tourney will have a 9 a.m. tee time. Entry fee is $500 per team, or $100 per individual. Proper attire is required. Donations to help the cause should be sent c/o Mary Simon, P.O.
