It’s never too early to start thinking about football season.

The East St. John Black and Gold intersquad scrimmage has been set for Monday May 15 on the team’s field in Reserve. There, fans can get a preview of the team that the Wildcats will field this year to complement last year’s squad which made it to the quarter-finals where they lost to arch-rival Hahnville.

ESJ will be looking to replace several starters from last season including standout wide reciever Ricky Dixon who signed with the LSU Tigers last Fall.

Returning should be a core of experienced players including quarterback Johnny Thiel and running back Johnny Owen.

Game time is set for 6 p.m. and admission at the gate is $6 per person.
