Branches in River Parishes region moves to help displaced credit union members

LAPLACE – Louisiana Federal Credit Union has recently expanded its commitment to the Credit Union movement by becoming a Service Center Outlet of the nationwide CU Service Center Network of shared branches.

In the aftermath of Hurricanes Katrina and Rita, many displaced members no longer had access to their own credit unions, and they came to LFCU for help.

Now, LFCU is in a position to provide this service on an ongoing basis to credit union members from across the country.

The LaPlace branch at 350 Belle Terre Blvd. and Norco branch at 1001 Third Street are now able to serve members of participating shared branching Credit Unions.

By using the CU Service Center Network, an individual’s membership and accounts remain at their credit union, but they can access their accounts through any of the convenient CU Service Center locations.

Service Centers, which are located throughout Louisiana and nationwide, are a convenient option to credit union members, allowing them to perform a variety of transactions, such as deposits, withdrawals, statement prints, funds transfers, check cashing, and loan payments.

CU Service Centers are a sign of the credit union commitment to help members make the most of their time and money.

No matter where you may be on the road, your credit union can be as close as the nearest CU Service Center. Visit www.creditunion.net for a nationwide directory.

Credit Union members are encouraged to contact their credit union to see if they are able to take advantage of this local, convenient option.
