VACHERIE – Oliver “Ollie” Antoine Jr., 37, a native of Vacherie and a resident of Maryland, died July 16.

He was the fiancé of Marsha James.

He is survived by his parents Oliver Antoine Sr. and Rosa Fletcher Best.

He is also survived by his sister Joy Best.

Services were held July 22 at First Baptist Church, Vacherie, with interment in the church cemetery.

BOUTTE – Alvina Comardelle Breaux Baudouin, 83, a native of Bayou Gauche and a resident of Boutte, died July 18.

She was the wife of the late Irby Breaux by first marriage and the late Edwin Baudouin by second marriage.

She is survived by her children Herbert J. Breaux, Marion M. Breaux, Marty J. Breaux, Malinda B. Rodrigue, Marion M. Breaux and Arlene Ann Breaux.

She is also survived by her brother Raymond Comardelle, 11 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents Albert and Anna Dufrene Comardelle, a daughter Norma Breaux, siblings Hyman, Exo, and Simon Comardelle, Zoe Dufrene, Lovinia Frickey and Alverta Dufrene.

Services were held July 21 at Life Fellowship Community Church, with interment in Sunset Cemetery, Bayou Gauche.

LAPLACE – Dwight H. Bower Jr., 63, a native of Detroit, Mi and a resident of LaPlace, died July 19.

He was the husband of Doris “Dee” Bower.

He is survived by his children Daren, Derek, Danielle and H.N. David Bower.

He is also survived by his brother Randy (Jan) Bower and three grandchildren Daria and Dylan Bower and Aila Blair.

Services will be held today at 10 a.m. at Millet-Guidry Funeral Home Chapel, LaPlace, with a private interment.

MONTZ – Melvin Creecy, 92, a native and resident of Montz, died July 15.

He was the husband of the late Dorethea P. Creecy.

He is survived by his children Gloria (Charles) Larche, Melvin (Jacqueline) Creecy, Wendell (Earline) Creecy.

He is also survived by his grandchildren Charlene Larche-Mason, Devin J. Creecy, Raynard A. Creecy, Raynard A. Creecy and Renate’ T. Thompson and sister-in-law Dorothy Creecy.

He was preceded in death by his parents Mark Creecy and Carrie Porche, siblings Herbert Creecy and Velma C. Diggs and granddaughter Rochelle M. Larche.

Services will be held today at 11 a.m. at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, Norco, with interment in St. Charles Borromeo Cemetery, Destrehan.

LAPLACE – Da’lyn Bayonne Cosey, a native and resident of LaPlace, died July 16.

He was the son of Delisa Ryshawn Perrilloux and Douglas Benjamin Cosey Jr.

He is survived by a maternal brother Da’Ciyon Benjamin Cosey, two paternal sisters and two paternal brothers.

Also survived by grandmothers Norma Jean Sharlow and Willie Mae Cosey, grandfathers Dwight Perrilloux Sr. and Douglas B. Cosey Sr, aunts Dwanda Perrilloux, Daviana Sharlow, uncles Dwight Jr. and Dwayne Perrilloux and David Sharlow, Godmothers Jermaine D. Hutchinson and Tamara Moseman and Godfather Torrey M. Sanders.

DESTREHAN – Nikita Dabney, 20, a native of New Orleans and a resident of Destrehan, died July 15.

He was the son of Renard Sr. and Sharlene Dabney.

He is survived by his siblings Renard Jr., Terry, LaShonda and Torey Dabney.

He is also survived by his grandmothers Alverda Ophelia Dabney and Evelyn Lee.

Services were held July 22 at Mt. Zion Baptist Church, St. Rose, with interment in Providence Cemetery.

LAPLACE – Bennette Goble Guevara, 76, a native of Chicago, IL and a resident of LaPlace, died July 18.

She was the wife of Dr. Raul A. Guevara.

She is survived by her children Dr. Raul B. Guevara, Dr. Michael J. Guevara, Ricky M. Guevara, Chrissy Guevara, Gary W. Guevara and Candy Guevara Ardoin.

She is also survived by 14 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Services were held July 21 at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, LaPlace, with interment in St. John Memorial Gardens Cemetery, LaPlace.

HAHNVILLE – Marguerite “Mag” Cleveland Landeche, 95, a native and resident of Hahnville, died July 18.

She was the wife of the late Whitney Charles Landeche.

She is survived by her sister Lucy (Bill) Duhe.

She is also survived by her niece Patricia (Donald) Haydel and a great nephew Donald Haydel III.

She was preceded in death by her parents George E. and Lucie Keller Cleveland, siblings George Jr., James, Robert and Harry Cleveland.

Services were held on July 21 at Holy Rosary Church, Hahnville, with interment in Holy Rosary Cemetery, Taft.

VACHERIE – Michael Amelise Oubre, 54, a native and resident of Vacherie died July 16.

He was the husband of Ethel Marie Oubre.

He is survived by his daughter Kimatakaya Joseph.

He is also survived by his siblings Katherine O. Pedescleaux, Freddie Jr. and Raymond Oubre, grandchild Lyric Miller, four stepchildren, nine step-grandchildren and one step-great-grandchild.

He was the son Louis and Beverly Burns Robein.

He is also survived by three nieces, two nephews and grand nieces and nephews.

She was the wife of the late Donald Joseph Schexnayder Sr.

She is survived by her children Diane Lucille Schexnayder, Dawn Katherine Schexnayder, Debra Ann Schexnayder, Roger (Vicki) Schexnayder and Dean (Bennie) Schexnayder.

She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and 11 step great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son Donald Joseph Schexnayder.

She was preceded in death by her parents Caliste and Denise Anthony, son Edward Sylve Jr. and siblings Amelia and Herman Anthony.
