RESERVE — Regala Park Pool is in full swing this summer, with a staff of trained lifeguards. On Wednesday afternoon, Monique Cavalier worked with several junior lifeguards on techniques to keep both themselves and the potential drowning victim alive and safe.

The parish-operated pool is open six days a week, closed each Monday. On Tuesdays, the pool operates from 3-8 p.m., on Wednesdays from 3-7 p.m., on Thursdays from 3-8 p.m., and on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from 3-6 p.m. The Edgard pool is due to open this week.

Admission is $1 per person.
