NEW ORLEANS – Tulane Baseball season ticket holders and members of the Tulane Athletics Fund have been mailed information on the postseason ticket policy for a possible NCAA Regional that would be hosted by Tulane at Turchin Stadium, according to Associate Athletic Director Scott Sidwell. The information also includes an order form with a deadline for return of Wednesday, May 25th.

NCAA Regionals will be held June 3-6, with the sites to be announced on Sunday, May 29 at 2:30 p.m. (Central) on ESPN’s bottom line and at www.ncaasports.com. The selection show to announce the 64-team field will air Monday, May 30 at 10:30 a.m. (Central) on ESPN2. With a record of 42-8 and just six regular season games remaining, Tulane is currently ranked No. 1 in the country by three polls and holds the No. 2 spot in the Baseball America listing.

Current Tulane baseball season ticket holders will receive first priority in purchasing ticket books for a potential New Orleans Regional. They will be allowed to purchase one regional ticket book for each season ticket owned. However, season ticket holders will NOT be guaranteed their current seats, due to NCAA guidelines which require that each visiting team at the regional receive the opportunity to purchase 200 ticket books in prime seating locations. For the regional, all seats will be reserved and no single game tickets will be sold.

Current donors to the Tulane Athletics Fund at the $250 level and above who are NOT baseball season ticket holders also will have the ability to request two Regional ticket books. Those orders will be filled based on current TAF giving levels and are not guaranteed.

Allocation of seats at Turchin Stadium will be completed based on the following criteria, after the visiting teams have claimed their ticket books:

1. Baseball season ticket holders who are also current Tulane Athletics Fund members at the $250 or above level;

2. Baseball season ticket holders;

3. Current Tulane Athletics Fund members ($250 and above), in order of giving level.

Tickets will be allocated beginning at the close of business on Wednesday, June 1, after visiting teams have made their ticket orders. Regional ticket books will be available for pick-up beginning Thursday, June 2 at 10 a.m. at the Tulane Athletics Ticket Office in the James W. Wilson Center. No tickets will be mailed and no phone orders .
