When the New Orleans VooDoo faces off against the Georgia Force this Saturday in the New Orleans Arena at 7 pm, fans can expect an exciting, interactive experience leading up to the game and through its conclusion.
The 6-2 VooDoo will be facing the 6-2 Force in an important Southern Division matchup. Both teams play in a hotly-contested division where four of the five teams have winning records. Saturday’s game will feature a great deal of familiarity in the matchup. Georgia won the first meeting between the VooDoo and the Force 46-44 on January 30 in the season opener for both teams at Philips Arena in Atlanta.
At halftime of the game, there will be 35 men and women who have chosen to re-enlist in the U.S. Army and will be sworn in by Lieutenant Colonel Samuel Clear, commander of New Orleans’ U.S. Army recruiting battalion.
Plenty of tickets remain for Saturdays game with several pricing and seating options available. The VooDoo has a special promotion available for this game, where for $19, fans will be able to purchase an upper level seat and also receive an embroidered VooDoo baseball cap…a $30 value. In order to accommodate fans, the New Orleans Saints tickets offices at 5800 Airline Drive and at the Louisiana Superdome will be open on Good Friday until 6 pm and on Saturday from 9 am-1 pm.
The Georgia game will not be on television, but it can be heard on WSMB 1350-AM. Chris Kenyon will handle play-by-play, New Orleans Saints defensive end and former University of Georgia star Charles Grant will serve as analyst for the game.
