The Warren and Leona S. Coleman Christmas Memorial project, which was created last year by retired teacher Betty Coleman Clement, will collect donations this holiday season to assist children of military personnel and needy families with gifts and school supplies.
“I did the Christmas Memorial as a means of remembering my parents spirit of giving,” said Clement. Anyone can contribute to the memorial project by picking up a form at any St. John the Baptist Parish public school. All gifts will be delivered to schools beginning Dec. 15. The school supplies will be dispersed at the beginning of the next semester.
