BOURGEOIS

PAULINA – Calvin Joseph Bourgeois, 61, a resident of St. James Parish, died Nov. 29. He was the husband of Linda H. Bourgeois and father of Vince and Eric Bourgeois.

He was also the son of the late Lester Sr., and Celina Roussel Bourgeois, and brother of Millie Matherne, Thomas Bourgeois and Mark Roussel.

He is also survived by five grandchildren.

Services are today at 10 a.m., at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Paulina, with interment at the church mausoleum. Visitation starts at 8 a.m.

CAMBRE

LUTCHER – Mabel Perque Cambre, 83, a resident of Lutcher, died Nov. 27. She was the wife of the late O’Neal Cambre, mother of Kathleen Stoker, Bobby and Gary Cambre and stepmother of Joycelyn Laudon, Jude and Michael Cambre and the late Melvyn and Gerald Cambre.

She was also the sister of Earl Perque, and the late jeannette LeMoine, Beulah Roussel, Murphy and Colon Perque.

She is also survived by five grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

Services were Nov. 29 in the chapel of H.C. Alexander Funeral Home, Lutcher, with interment at St. Joseph Mausoleum, Paulina.

COLEMAN

BOUTTE – Naomi “Mother” Smith Coleman, 94, a native of LaPlace and resident of Boutte, died Nov. 25. She was the wife of the late Eddie John Coleman, and mother of Thelma Harris, Ogreta Colly, Gloria Diggs, Glenda Stewart, Andrew, Arnold and Louis Coleman, and the late E.J., Margaret, Percy, Edwin, Edwina and Neverna Coleman.

She was also the daughter of the late Cecilia Watkins and Walter Smith, and sister of the late Adele Johnson, Arnold and Walter Smith.

She is also survived by 27 grandchildren, 59 great-grandchildren and 15 great-great-grandchildren.

Services were Nov. 29 at Mt. Zion Baptist Church, Boutte, with interment at Mt. Airy Memorial Park Cemetery, Boutte.

JETT

BOUTTE – Mary Catherine Hardcastle Jett, a resident of Des Allemands, died Nov. 22. She was the wife of the late W.W. Jett Jr., and mother of Mary Catherine Brumfield, James Paul Jett, and the late Rev. Willis Jett III and Laura Landry.

She was also the daughter of the late Joseph and Haggie Nicholas Hardcastle, and sister of Phillip Hardcastle, Rufus and Percy O’Quinn.

Services were Nov. 29 at West St. Charles Baptist Church, Boutte, with interment at Mennonite Cemetery, Des Allemands.

JOSEPH

ST. JAMES – James “Big Bunny” Joseph Jr., 61, a native of St. James and resident of Marrero, died Nov. 25. He was the father of James Boyd, Antonio, Roin and Jeremiah Joseph and Juana Rosemond.

He was also the son of the late Gertrude Ferchaud and James Joseph Sr., and brother of Irvin and Altia Joseph.

He is also survived by eight grandchildren.

Services were Nov. 29 at st. James Catholic Church, St. James, with interment at the church cemetery.

ROUYEA

PAULINA – Brenda Webre Rouyea, 57, a native of Gramercy and resident of Paulina, died Nov. 24. She was the mother of buffy Villeneuve, Chad and Jason Rouyea.

She was also the daughter of the late Eva Tregre and Joseph Webre Sr., and sister of Margaret Savoie, Connie Bye, Thomas, Joseph and Warren Webre, and the late Jeanette, Carroll Sr., and Nelson Webre Sr.,

She is also survived by 11 grandchildren and three step-grandchildren.

Services were Nov. 26 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Paulina, with interment at the church cemetery.

WILLIAM

RESERVE – Homeria June William, 74, a native of Doran, Ga., and resident of Reserve for 24 years, died Nov. 23. She was the wife of Silas William Sr., and mother of Homeria and Silas William Jr., and stepmother ofSelless Barryhill, Joclyn, Carl, Craign, Stacy, Greg and Roslyn William.

She was also the sisger of Margaret Thomas and Barbara Weston.

She is also survived by a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Services are today at 11 a.m., at Greater New Plymouth Rock Baptist Church, Reserve, with interment at Zion Travelers Cemetery, Lions. Visitation starts at 9 a.m.
