LAPLACE – St. John the Baptist Parish Sheriff Wayne L Jones reported the following recent arrests:

€ Robert Blackwell, 44, 102 Miller St., Reserve; DWI, careless operation of a motor vehicle and sentenced to parish prison.

€ Toby John Bailey, 25, 900 Aspen Court, LaPlace; contempt of court.

€ Ray Francois, 22, 252 E. 14th St., Edgard; fugitive from another agency and possession of stolen things over $500.

€ Kendall J. Smith, 23, 2233 Williamsburg Drive, LaPlace; loitering.

€ Gerald Matthews, 28, 326 Persimmon St., LaPlace; 2 counts of being a fugitive from another agency.

€ Madesta Dunn Jr., 17, 1840 Lee Dr., LaPlace; simple battery, criminal trespass-immovable property and two counts of resisting an officer by flight.

€ Robert Blackwell, 44, 102 Miller St., Reserve; DWI, careless operation of a motor vehicle and sentenced to parish prison.

€ Mickey L. Hewitt, 24, 399 Homewood, Reserve; attachment, maximum permissible sound levels, possession of marijuana, DWI, operating vehicle under suspension and owner must secure registration.

€ Jermaine Gregoire, 24, 275 Redbud, LaPlace; criminal trespass-immovable property.

€ Christopher Vinet, 19, 785 Madewood Dr., LaPlace; illegal use of weapons, aggravated assault and simple battery.

€ Kendell Marquel Sanders, 23, 560 Melrose St., LaPlace; theft.

€ George Hawkins, 35, 4520 Williams Bd., Kenner; simple battery.

€ Aaron L. Anderson, 23, 8795 Sunnyside Dr., Reserve; probation violation.

€ Sherry S. St. Amant, 37, 1315 Shadberry Lane, Hudson; two counts of issuing worthless checks.

St. Charles Parish

HAHNVILLE – St. Charles Parish Sheriff Greg C. Champagne reported the following recent arrests:

€ Bruce M. Bourgeois, 23, 17 Shadow Lane, Destrehan; theft of auto. According to Champagne, on April 29, Bourgeois allegedly stole a vehicle from the Racetrac in St. Rose. He was arrested on a warrant issued on May 4.

€ James Smith III, 43, 16401 Old Spanish Trail, Des Allemands; aggravated battery, domestic abuse battery, aggravated assault and simple assault. According to Champagne, on April 14, Smith was involved in an altercation with his live-in girlfriend during which he allegedly struck her with a telephone receiver and with his open hand. His girlfriend allegedly threw a vacuum at him but was not arrested. Smith was arrested on a warrant issued on April 16.
