ST. ROSE – Three adults and three students were arrested Friday, following a school bus fracas that escalated.

Capt. Patrick Yoes of the St. Charles Parish Sheriff’s Office reported that two female students were involved in a fight aboard a school bus coming from Albert Cammon Middle School in St. Rose.

After that incident, the bus driver released each student at separate stops in the Charlestowne subdivision, then reported it to authorities. However, two of the parents likewise confronted one another and a second fight ensued

The second fight, in the 300 block of E. Club Drive in St. Rose, involved three juveniles, ages 13, 14 and 16, plus three adults, all of whom were charged with disturbing the peace by fighting.

The adults arrested wereidentified as Tamesia G. Preston, 36, of 303 E. Club Drive; Terrila Hutchinson, 35, of 100 E. Club Drive; and Takoiya Green, 18, of 303 E.Club Drive.

Cause of the original fight between the two girls was not known, Yoes said.

An investigation into the incident, school district spokeswoman Rochelle Touchard said, as school buses are considered under the school district’s supervision. Touchard added she hoped that investigation would be concluded by the end of the week.
