St. John
DUFFY
NEW ORLEANS – Ethel C. Duffy, 89,on Monday, a native of New Orleans and resident of Destrehan died on March 15. She was the daughter of the late Catherine Behrens and Matthew Duffy and sister of the late Thelma G. Pecoraro and Vivian D. Huth.
She is survived by great-nieces and nephews.
Services were March 18 at 1:30 p.m. at the Chapel of Jacob Schoen & Son, New Orleans with interment in Greenwood Cemetery.
DUPUY
PAULINA – Patrick Charles Dupuy a natice and resident and of Lutcher died on March 16. He was the son of the late Russell J. Dupuy and Zula Singletary Dupuy of Lutcher and the brother of James Russell Dupuy, Timothy Gene Dupuy, Gwendolyn D. Rizzuto, Lynnette D. Hidalgo and Mary Kathleen Chambless.
He is survived 11 nieces and nephews; and six great-nieces and great-nephews.
Services were March 18 at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Paulina with interment in St. Joseph Mausoleum, Paulina.
GRAY
RESERVE – Amelia Gray a resident of Reserve died on March 15.
She was the daughter of the late Dennis Gray, Sr. and Harriet Bywater and sister of Sedonia Songy, Lois and Robert Gray, Sr. Survived by uncles, aunts, sister-in-law, brother-in-law, a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Services were March 18 at 11 a.m. at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, Reserve with interment at St. Peter’s Cemetery, Reserve.
KIRKWOOD
Veronica Roussell Joseph Kirkwood a resident of Port Arthur, TX died on March 13. She was the first wife of the late Lionel Joseph and the second wife of Clarence Kirkwood. She was the mother of mother of Eltina Elliott, Loleatha Brown, Latasha Demouchet, Nancy Bloodworth, Phillip Joseph.
She also was the sister of Junius Roussell Jr., Roland Roussell Sr., Marie Joseph, Eugene Roussell, Zenobia Taylor, John Roussell and the late Georgia Ann Rixner.
She is servived by 13 grandchildren.
Services were March 19 at 10:30 at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, LaPlace, with interment in St. Peters Cemetary, Reserve.
MIRE
KENNER – Ricky Emile Mire, 48, a native of New Orleans and resident of Destrehan for 16 years, died March 17.
He was the husband of Yvette Ordogne Mire and father of Jeff Mire.
He was also the son of Joycelyn Comeaux Trumps, and the late Fellman Mire, stepson of Regis Trumps, brother of Fellman III, Kenny, Dawn, Jay and Michael Mire, and stepbrother of Paul Trumps.
He was assistant chief of the Kenner Fire Department.
Services are today at 1 p.m. in the chapel of D.W. Rhodes Funeral Home, New Orleans, with interment at Providence Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation starts at 11:30 a.m.
OUBRE
LAPLACE – John J. Oubre, 34, a native of LaPlace and resident of Baton Rouge, died March 17. He was the son of Leroy and Iris Naquin Oubre and brother of Ann Comardelle, Eric and Adrian Oubre. He was also the fiance of Morna Alexander.
Services are today at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Millet-/Guidry Funeral Home, LaPlace, with interment at St. John Memorial Gardens, LaPlace. Visitation starts at 9 a.m.
VICTOR
LAPLACE – Wanda Ann Victor, a resident of Reserve, died March 15.
She was the wife of Errol Victor Sr. and mother of Errol Jr., Fabian, Trent, Marcus, Emmanuel and Chance Victor.
She was also the daughter of Beatrice Johnson, and the late Lawrence Johnson, and sister of Trenitta Johnson and Lawrence Johnson Jr.
Services are today at 11 a.m. at New Wine Christian Fellowship, LaPlace, with interment at St. John Memorial Gardens, LaPlace. Visitation starts at 10 a.m.
