SULPHUR – They traveled more than 180 miles to get a chance at the ultimate goal. However, for all four River Parishes teams, the ultimate goal came up short.

Hahnville High School, Lutcher High School, Riverside Academy and St. Charles Catholic High School played well all year long in order to get to where they were.

They played well on Friday, but not good enough to overcome defeat. Each game was filled with emotions of joy at the beginning, but changed to emotions of sorrow as the game progressed.

It was especially difficult for some players to deal with knowing they would never get that chance at the high school level again.
