BONNETTE

METAIRIE – Dolores Marie Vial Bonnette, 94, a native of Hahnville and resident of New Orleans for 75 years, died Feb. 3. She was the wife by first marriage of Louis A. Davila and by second marriage of the late Lance Bonnette.

She was also the daughter of the late Sheriff Leon Sr. and Irma Martin Vial and sister of the late Inez Tinney, Marguarite Montz and Sheriff Leon Jr., James Sr., Lester and Charles Vial.

She is survived by nieces and nephews, Dr. Sidney Montz, Celeste Tanner, Irma Brou, Judge Mary Ann Lemmon, Irma Dubroca, Shirley Dubroca and Dr. David, Leon “Sonny” III, Dr. Lester, Dr. Richard and Dr. Wayne Vial.

She was a former real estate broker.

Services were Feb. 4 in the chapel of Lake Lawn Funeral Home, Metairie, with interment at Lake Lawn Park.

BOUDREAUX

CONVENT – Brenda Boudreaux, 47, a native and resident of Convent, died Jan. 27. She was the husband of Joseph Boudreaux and mother of Kenneth, Jerome, Gary, Michael and Thyron Boudreaux.

She was also the daughter of Louella Morris and sister of Diane Honor, Leonard and Robert Green and Betty, Cornell, Calvin, Alvin, Patrick, Nerlene and Horace Morris.

Services were Feb. 1 at Young Pilgrim Baptist Church, Convent, with interment at St. Michael Catholic Cemetery, Convent.

CARONIA

METAIRIE – Laura Calerio Caronia, 85, a native of Sellers and resident of Metairie for 40 years, died Jan. 30. She was the wife of the late August Caronia and mother of Gerald, Michael and the late Joseph Caronia.

She was also the daughter of the late Guiseppe and Antonina Capo Salario.

She is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

Services were Feb. 3 in the chapel of Lamana-Panno-Fallo Funeral Home, Metairie, with interment at Cypress Grove Cemetery, New Orleans.

CLEMENT

NORCO – Dwight J. Clement Sr., 58, a native of LaPlace and resident of Montz for 37 years, died Feb. 1. He was the husband of Gail Madere Clement, father of Dwight Jr., Thad and Jason Clement and grandfather of Michael Clement.

He was also the son of the late Lawrence and Simone Vicknair Clement and brother of Daniel, Lillie, Faye, Marion and the late L.J., Harold and Lorraine Clement.

Services were Feb. 4 at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, Norco, with interment at St. Charles Borromeo Cemetery, Destrehan.

DEAKIN

LAPLACE – Edward Richard “Ted” Deakin, 66, a native of Saskatoon, Canada, and a resident of LaPlace, died Feb. 3. He was the husband of Mary Schneller Deakin and father of Amarna Englert, Cyril Laizer, Elizabeth Zeigler, Charlotte Paez, Karen Reynolds, Margaret de Souza and Shawn Laizer.

He was also the son of the late Richard and Ethel Deakin and brother of the late Robert and Douglas Deakin.

He is also survived by 14 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Services are Feb. 6 at 11 a.m. at Ascension of Our Lord Catholic Church, LaPlace, with interment at All Saints Mausoleum, New Orleans. Visitation is today from 6-10 p.m. and tomorrow beginning at 9 a.m.

EVANS

NEW ORLEANS – Marion Bates Evans, a native of New Orleans and resident of Ama, died Jan. 27. She was the wife of the late Nathaniel Evans and mother of the late Yvonne Bennett.

She is survived by her grandchild, Jonathan Bennett.

Services were Feb. 3 at Second Zion Baptist Church, New Orleans, with interment at Mt. Olivet Cemetery.

GANT

LUTCHER – Kristi D. “Kitty-Kat” Gant, 19, a native and resident of Lutcher, died Jan. 28. She was the companion of Thaddeus Sutherland Jr. and mother of Saige Gant.

She was also the daughter of Kurt Edler and Kimberly Gant, stepdaughter of Henri Miles and granddaughter of Velma Gant-Millet, Mike Wiggins Jr. and Donna Scott.

Services are today at 11 a.m. at King Solomon Baptist Church, Lutcher, with interment at St. Joseph Cemetery, Paulina. Visitation starts at 9 a.m.

HUMPHRIES

HARVEY – Barbara Dore Humphries, 69, a native of Chase and resident of Luling for 15 years, died Feb. 2. She was the wife of Hulon Humphries and mother of Diane Plaisance, Doris Dugas, Sandra Kinler, Aymar Dore and Randy Humphries.

She was also the daughter of the late Mitchell and Edith Little Crooks and sister of Allie Campbell, Nobie Wallace, Ramona Crooks and William and Johnny Crooks.

She is also survived by 10 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

She was a retired waitress at Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse.

Services were Feb. 4 in the chapel of Mothe Funeral home, Harvey, with interment at St. Charles Mausoleum, Luling.

PABLO

NEW ORLEANS – Raymond Pablo, 90, a native of Vacherie and resident of New Orleans, died Jan. 30. He was the husband of Bonnie Blake-Pablo an father of Lois Washington, Linda Willis, Stacia Coleman and Viola, O’Shana, Obie, Grayland and Wendel Pablo.

He was also the brother of Osby and Emile Jones.

He is also survived by 16 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Private services were held.

SMITH

METAIRIE – Roy Harvey Smith III, 33, a native of Houma, former resident of River Ridge and resident of Garyville, died Jan. 30. He was the son of Roy Jr. and Dianne Smith and brother of Shawn Bauer and Lee Smith.

He was also the grandchild of Lee and Shirley McAdams.

Services were Feb. 3 in the chapel of Tharp-Sontheimer-Tharp Funeral Home, Metairie, with interment at Lake Lawn Park.

STEWART

DECATUR, Ill. – Gladys Ione Stewart, 83, a native of Bismark, N.D., former resident of Decatur, Ill., and resident of LaPlace, died Jan. 28. She was the wife of Ralph Stewart and mother of Curtis Stewart. She was preceded in death by one son.

She was also the daughter of the late Ed and Sadie DeVine and sister of Leona Clive and Lyle, Donald, Eddie and Earl DeVine. She was preceded in death by one brother.

She is also survived by four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Services were Feb. 3 in the chapel of J.J. Moran & Sons Funeral Home, Decatur, Ill., with interment at Graceland Cemetery.

THOMAS

KENNER – Patricia Thomas, 50, a native of Wichita Falls, Texas, and resident of St. Charles Parish for 23 years, died Feb. 2. She was the mother of Logan and Nicholas Thomas.

She was also the daughter of LaDonna Wolford and the late Ray Wolford.

She was a heart transplant recipient of 11 years.

Visitation is today at 6-9 p.m. at L.A. Muhleisen & Son Funeral Home, Kenner, with interment at Elmwood Memorial Park Cemetery, Abilene, Texas.

VICKNAIR

LUTCHER – Clovis A. “Cook” Vicknair, 86, a native of Paulina and resident of Livingston, died Feb. 3. He was the husband of the late Mabel Vicknair.

He was also the brother of Pearl Gaudet, Linda Roques, Earl and Paul Vicknair Sr. and the late Rose Mary Rome and Adlice, Albert and Lawrence Vicknair.

He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and retired after almost 30 years with Colonial Sugar.

Services are today at 10 a.m. at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, Gramercy, with interment at St. Joseph Mausoleum, Paulina. Visitation starts at 8 a.m.

WILLIAMS

NEW ORLEANS – Florestine B. “Laloon” Williams, a native of Edgard and resident of New Orleans for 57 years, died Jan. 29. She was the wife of the late Staff Sgt. Willie Williams and mother of Faye Bell-Penny and Bill Williams.

She was also the daughter of the late Sylvain and Georgine Songy Borne and sister of Theresa Claverie, Margaret Barnum, Olivia Barnum and McKinley Borne.

She is also survived by seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Services are today at 11 a.m. at Blessed Sacrement Catholic Church, New Orleans, with interment at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Visitation starts at 9 a.m.

WINCHESTER

NEW ORLEANS – Alvis Trepagnier “Mudda” Winchester, 80, a native of St. James and resident of New Orleans, died Jan. 26. She was the wife of Charles Winchester and mother of Dolores Whittington, Brenda Gladstone, Marian Jones, Benjamin Guess and Alvis and Charles Winchester.

She was also the sister of Iola Brooks and Celeste Perrilloux.

She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren.

Services were Feb. 1 at Blessed Sacrement Catholic Church, New Orleans, with interment at St. James Catholic Cemetery, St. James.
