River Parish Girl Scouts named to the Cookie Hall of Fame

NEW ORLEANS – Girl Scouts in Southeastern Louisiana proved themselves once again to be able salespersons in this year’s cookie sale, selling 813,684 boxes of cookies. Nearly 500 girls sold at least 250 boxes of cookies, and four Junior Girl Scouts sold more than 1,000 boxes. Top sellers include Paradis resident Crystal Boudreaux of Troop 1154, who sold 1,010 boxes. Her troop was among the four top-selling troops, with the highest per-girl average of 458 boxes sold. Their goal was for each troop member to be able to attend a session at summer resident camp, which was awarded to girls who sold 450 boxes of cookies each. River Parish area Girl Scouts who were named to the Cookie Sale Hall of Fame are – Junior Troop 1154, Service Unit 655 of Luling: Crystal Boudreaux, 1010 boxes; Allyssa Borey, 540 boxes; and Fawziah Mohammed, 527 boxes; Brownie Troop 1471, Service Unit 617 of LaPlace: Donna Kennedy, 636 boxes; Cadette Troop 1459, Service Unit 617 of LaPlace: Angela Leigh Eichhorn, 617 boxes; and Junior Troop 974, Service Unit 617 of LaPlace: Megan Finger, 500 boxes; and Kelsey Tatje, 450 boxes.
