ADAMS

RESERVE – Henry “T-Man” Adams Sr., 94, a native of LaPlace and resident of Reserve, died June 11. He was the husband of the late Harriet Alexander Adams and father of Phillip Sr., Henry Jr. and the late Carroll Adams.He was also the brother of the late Eliza Murray Selby, Julis Sholes and Viola Tircuit.He is also survived by a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.He was also a retired employee of Godchaux Sugar Co. and former member of the Willing Workers Club.Services are today at 11 a.m. at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, Reserve, with interment at St. Peter Cemetery, Reserve. METAIRIE – Alvin Joseph “Joe” Boudreaux, 70, a native of Lutcher and resident of River Ridge for 25 years, died June 12. He was the father of Joelle Malott, Donna Robino and Mark Boudreaux and stepfather of Sandra Cannon and Bertha Page. He was also the companion of Allie Mae LaCour.He was also the son of Drozina Matherne Boudreaux and the late Alvin Joseph Boudreaux and brother of Janet Guedry and Paul Boudreaux.He is also survived by three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.He was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran of the Korean War.Services were June 14 in the chapel of Tharp-Sontheimer-Tharp Funeral Home, Metairie, with private interment.FIFFIE
HAHNVILLE – Charlie Martin Fiffie, 14, a native of Edgard and resident of St. Rose for three years, died June 9. He was the son of Vince Alexander and Marilyn Fiffie, stepson of Suzanna Alexander, brother of Jarriod and Deaundra Fiffie and stepbrother of Jabriel Bennett and Marcel and Christopher Becknel.He was also the grandchild of Lucille Fiffie of Edgard, Ruby and Roland Fiffie Sr. of Luling, Amy Alexander of Hahnville, Verna Meyer of LaPlace, George W. Meyer Jr. of Hahnville and the late Herbert Alexander Sr.He was also the great-grandchild of Cecelia Alexander of Edgard, Martha Gross of Hahnville and the late Mary and Harrison Singleton, Lorenza and Irvin Fiffie Sr., Irene Thomas and Sidney Alexander.He was a student at Albert Cammon Middle School, St. Rose.Services are today at 11 a.m. at Philadelphia Baptist Church, Hahnville, with interment at St. John the Baptist Cemetery, Edgard. MARRERO – Henry M. Green, 88, a native of Vacherie and resident of Marrero, died June 12. He was the brother of Earl Green.He was also a World War II veteran.Services are today at 10 a.m. at Westside Funeral Home, Marrero, with private interment at Providence Memorial Park, Kenner.JOHNSON
NEW ORLEANS – Josephine Cappie Johnson, a native of Covington and resident of St. Rose, died June 10. She was the wife of Fred Johnson Jr. and mother of Ardest Moses, Mary Johnson-LeBlanc, Yolanda Robertson, Albert and Alvin Warren, Joseph and Arthur Johnson.She was also the sister of Joyce Brown, Ann Hubbard and Joseph Cappie Jr.fhe is also survived by 28 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.Services are today at 11 a.m. at Pilgrim Progress Baptist Church, New Orleans, with interment at Jefferson Memorial Gardens. NORCO – Calvin “Cheeky Red” Kenner Sr., 71, a native of Norco and resident of LaPlace, died June 11. He was the husband of Vivian Landa Kenner and father of Mona Watkins, Beverly Kenner-Robertson and Tinga, Shawn, Cheryl, Calvin Jr., Anthony Sr., Joseph, Stephen and Amos Kenner.He was also the son of the late Valena Mitchell and Clarence Kenner Sr., and brother of Clarence Kenner Jr.He is also survived by 29 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.He was a retired meter reader for St. Charles Parish Waterworks.Services were June 15 at Greater Good Hope Baptist Church, Norco, with interment at Jefferson Memorial Gardens, St. Rose.MARIE
KENNER – Rebecca Ann Gassiot Marie, 36, a native of New Orleans and resident of Des Allemands for eight years, died June 5. She was the wife of Shane Marie and mother of Jennifer Airhart and Shaylin Marie and stepmother of Shawn Clauson.She was also the daughter of Robert Gassiot Sr. and Carmella Favalora and sister of Robert Gassiot Jr.She was also the grandchild of Carmella Favalora and Joe Melacon.Services are today at 10:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, Kenner, with interment at St. Marys Cemetery.ROUSSELL
EDGARD – Alvin “Red” “La-shy” Roussell Sr., 50, a native and resident of Edgard, died June 13. He was the former husband of Carolyn G. Roussell and father of Alvin Jr. and Page Roussell.He was also the son of the late Urbin and Bonita Roussell and brother of Donald Urbin III, Katherine, Janet, Mary and Victor Roussell.Services are today at 9 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Edgard, with interment at the church cemetery.
