ANDERSON
NORCO – Alfred Anderson Sr., 59, a native and resident of Norco, died June 1. He was the husband of Elaine Anderson; father of Tressie Bailey, Janice Watkins, Carol King and Alandra, Kawanda and Alfred Anderson Jr.; and guardian of Brandielle Anderson. He was also the brother of Jackie Foster, Brenetta Smith and Henry, Vernon, John and Gerald Anderson.He is also survived by 12 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.He was a retired operator from Shell Oil and a former employee of the Kenner Police Department.Services are today at 11 a.m. at Greater Good Hope Baptist Church, Norco, with interment at Jefferson Memorial Gardens, St. Rose. LUTCHER – Joseph Butler Sr., 59, a native of Gramercy and resident of Lutcher, died June 2. He was the husband of Joy Ann Woodland Butler and father of JaVon, Joseph Jr. and Jamal Butler.He was also the son of the late Silas Sr. and Ollie Mitchell Butler and brother of Carol Ann Johnson and Consuella, Aliceia, Horace, Kenneth, Charles, Silas Jr. and the late Audrey, Ollie Mae and Theodore Butler.He is also survived by one grandchild and three step-grandchildren.Services were June 7 at King Triumph Baptist Church, Lutcher, with interment at St. Michael Cemetery, Convent.DICKERSON
VACHERIE – Ora Lee Dickerson, 66, a native of Vacherie and resident of Wallace, died June 3. She was the wife of the late Levy Dickerson and mother of the Rev. Allyson Dickerson. She was also the guardian of Brian Adams.She was also the daughter of the late Madison Victor and Anna Bell Victor Jairles and sister of Marion Jasmin and Mildred Adams.She is also survived by three grandchildren.She was a retired St. James Parish teacher.aervices were June 7 at Highway Baptist Church, Vacherie, with interment at the church cemetery.FRANCOIS
RESERVE – Audrey “Butsy” Francois, 76, a native of Mt. Airy and resident of Reserve, died May 31. She was the wife of the late Alfred Francois and mother of Bertrand Francois.She was also the sister of Mable Wilsham, Mildred Gray, Marjorie Bardell and the late Ethele Joseph, Bertha Keys, Beulah Nicholas, Hattie Howard, Edna Ross and Ernest Sr., Earl Sr., James Jr. and the Rev. J.J. Farlough Sr.She is also survived by three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.Services are today at 11 a.m. at Beechgrove Baptist Church, Reserve, with interment at St. Peter Cemetery, Reserve. VACHERIE – John “Dad” Grow Sr., 73, a native of Vacherie and resident of Wallace, died June 4. He was the husband of Florida Clay Grow and father of Elizabeth Rousseve, Valerie Johnson and Thomas and John Grow Jr.He was also the son of the late Aurelien and Augustine Grow and brother of Bernadine Bartholomew, Pearl Clark and Pierre, George, Aurelien and Lazin Grow.He is also survived by nine grandchildren.He was a retired farmhand.eervices were June 8 at St. Philip Catholic Church, Vacherie, with interment at the church cemetery.MEHL
ST. ROSE – Robert W. Mehl, 74, a native of Gallipolis, Ohio, and resident of St. Rose, died June 5. He was the husband of the late Edith Pratt Mehl and father of Ann Nelson, Ellen Rebowe, Janice Kaliszeski, Debra Rodriguez and Robert L. Mehl.He was also the son of the late Roy and Daisy Mehl.He is also survived by 17 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren.He was a retired brickmason and a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II.Services were June 8 at St. Rose Baptist Church, St. Rose, with interment at Jefferson Memorial Gardens, St. Rose.VICTOR
EDGARD – Felecien “Shake” Victor, 91, a native and resident of Lucy, died June 2. He was the husband of Mary Victor and father of Wanda Fairley, Beverly Boudoin, Jacqueline Duhe, Lisa Nelson, Michael Victor and Clyde and Burnell Nelson.He was also the son of the late Lionel and Lula Barre Victor and brother of Ruth Scott and the late Lawrence and Gilbert Victor.He is also survived by 12 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.He was a self-employed farmer.Services were June 7 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Edgard, with interment at the church mausoleum.WEMPREN
NAPLACE – Claude Wempren, 80, a native and resident of LaPlace, died June 6. He was the husband of the late Ethel Perilloux Wempren and father of Larry Perilloux, Elaine Santangelo and the late Linda Perilloux and Jeanette Scarkino.He was also the son of the late Gabriel and Estelle Wempren.He is also survived by nine grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren and was preceded in death by one grandchild.Services are today at 10 a.m. at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, LaPlace, with interment at St. Peter Cemetery, Reserve.
