Perry “Maurice” Simoneaux of LaPlace announces the engagement and approaching marriage of his daughter, Lori Ann Simoneaux of LaPlace to Ronald Joseph Ponville of LaPlace. She is also the daughter of the late Jerry Simoneaux. Ponville is the son of Lois and Milton Ponville of LaPlace. The couple plan to wed May 4 at St. Joan of Arc Church in LaPlace, with Monsignor Robert Vincent officiating. A reception will follow the ceremony at the Jerusalem Temple in Destrehan. The bride-elect is a graduate of St. Charles Catholic High School and also received a degree in office administrations and a degree in business management. She is employed by Lucky Coin Machine Co., Inc. in Metairie. The prospective bridegroom is a graduate of East St. John High School and River Parishes Vocational Technical College. He is employed by LaPlace Ford as an automotive technican.
